The Challenge

Broiler houses face constant and varied pathogen pressure. Four categories of microbial threat have the potential to devastate a flock, compromise food safety and cause severe economic losses. Addressing each one requires more than a good product — it requires a scientifically designed biosecurity programme built on the right chemistry, the right protocols and precision dosing.

Tuschemy has successfully introduced a scientific breakdown of pathogen defence, formulation synergy, and precision dosing targeting the poultry industry’s toughest microbial challenges. The result? A 30% boost in operational efficiency for two key commercial poultry clients.

The Threats

Enveloped Viruses
Pathogens: Avian Influenza (AI), Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV)
Massive systemic mortality, rapid transmission, catastrophic economic losses and global poultry export trade bans.

Non-Enveloped Viruses
Pathogens: Infectious Bursal Disease Virus (IBDV / Gumboro)
A highly rigid protein capsid structure targets the bursa, inducing permanent immunosuppression in young chicks.

Aspergillus Spores
Pathogens: Aspergillus fumigatus (Brooder Pneumonia)
Proliferates in wet litter and hatcheries. Spores are inhaled, leading to fatal lung granulomas and high chick mortality.

Bacteria & Endospores
Pathogens: Salmonella, E. coli, Clostridium perfringens
Clostridium causes necrotic enteritis. Salmonella causes severe chick mortality and presents major food safety risks.

The Solution — Viroclear 200

Viroclear 200 is an ultra-concentrated, dual-action liquid disinfectant formulated specifically to meet severe viral and fungal disease challenges in commercial poultry operations.

Its effectiveness is built on two active components working in combination:

20% Active Glutaraldehyde (Dialdehyde) + 10% Quaternary Ammonium (QAC)

The cationic surfactants break surface tension, cut through organic grease and strip away protective biofilms. The active sterilant — glutaraldehyde — then affects rapid microbe destruction.

Concentrated Efficiency — The 20% Active Glutaraldehyde and 10% QAC combination delivers higher terminal active ppm actives compared to alternatives in the market.

Aspergillus Control — Formulated with a specific surfactant blend that facilitates penetration of hydrophobic mould spores, destroying brooder pneumonia vectors.

Precision Dosing — The Critical Factor
Correct dilution rate is not optional — it is everything. The dilution rate for different pathogens varies significantly, and an incorrect dilution rate will result in ineffective clearing regardless of product quality.

Tuschemy’s experience shows that specific dilutions of active Glutaraldehyde are required to penetrate the faecal crust, denature rigid IBDV capsids, and kill Aspergillus spores. Getting this right is what separates a biosecurity programme that works from one that doesn’t.

The Results

By applying the correct chemicals, treatment protocols and monitoring, Tuschemy’s advanced biosecurity programme helped boost operational efficiency by 30% for two key commercial poultry clients — proof that precision chemistry, correctly applied, delivers measurable and meaningful results.
