Admin and Office Staff

Aims and Objectives

This workshop formed part of Tuschemy’s Development and Empowerment Series and aimed to strengthen collaboration, clarify roles, and develop the skills, attitudes and values that define a thriving team within the Administration and Office staff.

Workshop Overview

Using the Toyota Kata process, the team worked through timed puzzle-building challenges requiring strategy, communication and rapid adaptation across multiple rounds. They each assessed a bank of twenty teamwork traits before collaborating on a shared set of values. A logo design activity brought the team’s identity to life — capturing the unity and the range of roles within the Office. The workshop concluded with a team affirmation exercise and a cross-departmental competition against Management and Sales, including construction duplication, puzzle racing and a tallest tower challenge.

Key Insights

The team reached strong consensus around six core teamwork values: a clear plan of action, defined roles and responsibilities, effective communication, respect, discipline, and a commitment to learning from setbacks. Puzzle results improved with each round as strategy sharpened and roles became better defined.

Outcomes

The affirmation exercise brought the workshop to a meaningful close, with team members reflecting on what they value most about being part of the Office team — highlighting the energy, dependability and shared purpose that defines how they work together every day.
