Strand Rugby Club — Tracksuit Sponsorship 2026
Tuschemy Chemicals has been a proud partner of Strand Rugby Club for the past three years, and the 2026 season is no different — with Tuschemy sponsoring the club’s official tracksuits as part of their ongoing commitment to local sport and community development.
Founded in 1935, Strand Rugby Club carries a proud and respected history in South African rugby. Over the decades the club has produced players who went on to represent provincial and national teams at various age-group levels — among them Jaap Bekkers, Quintin Daniels, the Shields brothers, and Dillyn and Tristan Leyds. But the club’s contribution to the Strand community goes well beyond the trophy cabinet.
Known as the Blue Blood Family, Strand Rugby Club provides young people with a positive, structured environment in which to develop confidence, discipline, leadership and teamwork — skills that serve them far beyond the rugby field, both academically and professionally. The club is also deeply involved in community upliftment, supporting families through mentorship, food parcels, job connections and financial relief where possible.
For Tuschemy, the partnership is a natural fit. Rugby — like chemistry — is built on the understanding that the right combination of elements produces something far stronger than the sum of its parts. Teamwork, development and empowerment are values that run through everything Tuschemy does, and Strand Rugby Club lives those same values every week.
Representing Tuschemy at the official tracksuit handover were Merna Warnick, Office Manager, and Yolande Loxton from the Human Resources Department.
