Sales Team

Workshop 3 took the Tuschemy Sales Team from self-awareness into self-leadership — exploring the 10 pillars of personal leadership, eight leadership styles and the customer service principles that define every client interaction. Because in sales, how you lead yourself directly influences how you serve your clients.
Aims and Objectives

This workshop built on previous learning around self-awareness, personality traits, communication and thriving teams, developing these foundations further through self-leadership, leadership styles and customer service — with particular emphasis on the importance of strong client relationships in sales.

Workshop Overview

The team revisited their personality traits, Johari Window insights and previous reflections before exploring the 10 pillars of self-leadership: self-awareness, purpose, responsibility, discipline, integrity, learning, emotional intelligence, resilience, initiative and service. A practical construction challenge encouraged participants to consider how their individual skills, attitudes and values influence outcomes.

Eight leadership styles were then explored — Autocratic, Coaching, Democratic, Laissez-faire, Servant, Situational, Transactional and Transformative — with the Tuschemy Leadership Window helping each team member identify their natural style, the style their role requires and areas for growth.

Customer service brought it all together, guided by the principle that underpins everything Tuschemy does:

“We don’t just deliver chemicals. We deliver service, reliability and trust.”

Through role-play, practical activities and discussion, staff explored the What, Why, Where, When, How and Who of customer service — practising how to recognise different customer attitudes and adapt their communication accordingly. The five steps of successful sales and 23 customer service and self-leadership traits were also explored, including accountability, adaptability, empathy, emotional control, listening, problem-solving, professionalism and relationship building.

Key Insights

The direct connection between self-leadership and customer experience was the standout learning — how self-awareness, emotional control, adaptability and initiative are as important for building lasting client relationships as they are for personal effectiveness. The workshop also reinforced that customer service is everyone’s responsibility, extending throughout the organisation from production through to sales and after-sales support.

Outcomes

High levels of engagement, confidence and collaboration throughout the day reflected the strong rapport and camaraderie within the Sales Team. The workshop continued Tuschemy’s development journey — from understanding yourself and your team, to leading yourself, understanding leadership approaches and delivering excellent customer service.
