Management

Mike Carr
CEO
Mike, armed with a BSc. in Chemistry from UCT, embarked on a remarkable journey. His path led him to a decade-long career as an analytical chemist, including a transformative year in London.
Upon his return to South Africa, Mike joined Cremark Chemicals, later acquired by Ecolab. These companies specialized in manufacturing and supplying chemicals for water treatment, the food and beverage, and hospitality sectors.
In the early 2000s, Mike co-founded PWM Cape, a stepping stone that eventually paved the way for Tuschemy's inception in 2007, alongside his co-founder, Robert de Morney.

Robert de Morney
Director of Manufacturing and Logistics
With a background in mathematics and chemistry, Robert's journey took him to Somchem, where he honed his expertise for two decades in the production of propellants and explosives.
Later, at PWM Cape, he managed the intricate processes of raw material procurement, manufacturing, and efficient delivery of water treatment chemicals.
In 2007, alongside co-founder Mike Carr, Robert took a significant step in his career by co-founding Tuschemy. Together, they embarked on a mission to redefine the chemical manufacturing and supply landscape.

Jac Steyn
National Sales Director
Jac's journey in chemical engineering began with a BTech degree from Technikon Natal.
He gained a decade of valuable experience in sales and technical roles at PWM Cape and Süd-Chemie.
In 2010, Jac joined Tuschemy as a third shareholder, enriching our team with expertise and fresh perspectives. His dedication and extensive background have been instrumental in our growth and mission to provide top-quality chemical solutions. Today, Jac's role as a shareholder drives our commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry.
