Aims and Objectives
This workshop formed part of Tuschemy’s Development and Empowerment Series and aimed to deepen self-awareness and strengthen communication skills within the Sales team through experiential learning, reflection, and open discussion.
Workshop Overview
The team revisited their personality profiles and Johari matrix from Workshop 1, reflecting on growth since their first session. As Tuschemy’s “Mouth, Hands and Feet” — the people reaching and serving clients daily — effective communication is at the core of everything they do. Through back-to-back Lego building, partners had to construct identical structures using verbal instruction alone, with no face-to-face contact. The exercise demanded precision, patience and trust on both sides. A closing morse code challenge pushed the team further, requiring non-verbal communication and careful listening to decode messages from a teammate.
Key Insights
The team mapped the steps of effective communication as: sender → message → receiver → listen → understanding → confirmation → feedback. When ranking their communication skills, attitudes and values, emotional intelligence, message clarity, and mutual respect came out on top — a fitting set of priorities for a team whose success depends on understanding clients as much as products.
Outcomes
The Sales team engaged fully and honestly throughout, with the activities sparking genuine reflection on how they communicate under pressure.
“I had to concentrate so hard on thinking what to say and how to say it so my partner could succeed.”
“This was fun — I could not see what was being done and I had to trust myself and my partner.”
